Sometimes I forget...

Hi, everyone! As much as I enjoy writing and using this blog as an outlet, it's been CRAZY BUSY. Last month was a lot of fun but kept me busy, which, I admit I like to stay busy most of the time. From Halloween library programs to life, I haven't been able to sit down and write. So, let me say, Hi! Welcome back! I hope all of you have been blessed and doing well.
Today has been an ordinary day (and I welcome that after all the jam-packed days of fall-themed October chaos- LOL!). I was assisting this patron and checking out her books, and I noticed that she was loaded down with a rolling suitcase, notebook, coffee in hand, etc. She was the image of "9 to 5" (I apologize in advance for any earworm HA!) I asked her how she was doing, and she smiled at me and said "I am blessed, but sometimes I forget."
It's been a few hours, and I still can't get that out of my head. Friend, let me be honest for a second: this past month has been a lot of fun, but it's been very tough, as well. A friend of mine lost her mom to cancer, we're still in the process of trying to clean out my grandfather's house and get it ready to sell, and a dear friend committed suicide. On top of that, I'm slowly, but surely learning a new management job (and as much as I love it, it can be overwhelming and crazy-busy at times). I realize now that I, too, have forgotten. I am blessed beyond measure, and it's only because I'm saved by His Grace. We are ALL blessed. It is so easy for us to get caught up in this world, this beautifully flawed world. The good news? God's got us! We were made for His Joy and Eternal Life. We can relax knowing that He will never leave us. Our Heavenly Father could have chosen to turn His back on us and not help us, but the most beautiful thing happened. He sent us His Son, Jesus. He didn't want to spend any day without us. So friend, no matter what, we are always blessed because our God is greater than anything on earth we face. Hallelujah! Take care and be blessed! Peace and joy! -Amy
