Nostalgia and Another Book Review

I've been on a kick lately with re-reading books that I've enjoyed as a child. Specifically, I've been on a Roald Dahl kick. One of my favorite titles of Dahl's is "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," book and movie wise. When I was in the 3rd grade, one of my teachers introduced me to the sequel to "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator." I remember really liking the sequel as a kid, but I don't remember much about it, as I only read it once or twice, then never picked it up again. Well, needless to say, that changed last week when I found a copy at the library.
I don't want to give too much away, but "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" picks up where we last see Charlie Bucket, Willy Wonka, and Grandpa Joe. The whole Bucket family is reunited and with the trio, and they are (yep, you guessed it) traveling through space in their version of a spacecraft, the great glass elevator. A lot of adventures, laughs, and even an encounter with the President of United States are featured, as Willy Wonka, Charlie, and the Buckets try to find a way back to the beloved candy factory, rightfully inherited by sweet Charlie.
Stay tuned for more book reviews, and as always, keep reading, living, and loving!
Have a great weekend! Happy FriYay!
