I stumbled upon a delicious excuse to bake, recently. My dad has a huge sweet tooth, and he loves fruit-based desserts, especially cobblers, crisps, and dump cakes. I found this recipe somewhere in Facebook-Land, but it is super easy to make, and it is delicious!

I must apologize ahead of time because I meant to take a picture, but I have to be honest, we all devoured it and gobbled it up, which is a huge sign of a keeper recipe- LOL!

Enjoy! Love, Amy

Hawaiian Cake:

2 cans pineapple chunks, juice drained

1 jar maraschino cherries, drained

1/2 c. brown sugar

1 package yellow cake mix

1 stick butter, cut into 1 tbsp. pieces

Lightly spray a 13 x 9 baking dish. Place the pineapple chunks in the dish, in an even layer. Top with cherries. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the fruit. Repeat with the cake mix. Place butter cubes evenly around the cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. If desired, serve with ice cream. Enjoy!
