Anyone Can Bake!: A Recipe Post

Many people tend to shy around the idea of baking because they think that it will be too involved. Surprisingly, that is far from the case.

One of my favorite recipes that is delicious and ridiculously-easy to put together is a "Dump Cake." The name says it all- you just dump all the ingredients into a baking pan, throw it in the oven, and "forgedda 'bout it!" :). The dump cake has the consistency of a homemade cobbler, with the perfect balance of a buttery, crispy topping and warm, fruity filling. Plus, you can use a variety of any fruit/pie filling(s) that you like. The possibilities are endless. Here's the recipe below, although it's so simple, it almost doesn't need a recipe.

Easy Fruit Cobbler (Dump Cake):

1 to 2 cans pie filling, any flavor

1 package yellow cake mix

1 stick butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread the pie filling over the bottom layer of a 13x9 baking pan/casserole dish. Sprinkle yellow cake mix evenly over the filling. Pour melted butter on top. Bake for 30-60 minutes, until the top layer is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Serve warm with ice cream- delicious!
