A Hug for Your Belly Recipe

Something I've always loved during the cold winter weather, even as a small child, is beef stew. Specifically, the Dinty Moore can. It literally is one of few foods I never got burned out on. However, I've been seeing different friends talking on Facebook about making homemade beef stew, and I asked my mom if she had a good recipe. Sure enough, she had it on her mind, too, and found a DELICIOUS, easy recipe. My belly is warm and happy, and now I'm trying to type before falling asleep by the fireplace. Stay warm, y'all! Love, Amy

Homemade Beef Stew (not mine- stolen from the internet and I'm not giving it back!):

Buy 2 pounds of stew meat, rinsing well in a colander. Salt, pepper, and flour the meat well. Brown the meat in some oil in a skillet, transferring to a dutch oven or stockpot. Combine three cups of water with one seasoning packet of McCormick Beef Stew seasoning, and add to the meat. Cover and cook the meat for about 1 1/2 hours, then add several cut-up potatoes, carrots, onions, English peas, and any vegetables you like (you literally can eyeball the number of veggies). Cover the stockpot, and cook on low/medium for several hours, adding more water, if needed. Salt and pepper to taste.
